Lost & Found in Marrakech

Happy Thursday

I’m sorry I have not been blogging much lately. My wonderful partner booked us a short escape to Marrakech. We stayed in a gorgeous private riyadh 2 miles outside of Marrakech, and pretty much soaked up the amazing weather and did as much as we could in the short time we were there. The city is alive and infectious. From trekking up the atlas mountains, seeing the sublime Ourika valley and visiting the Berber villages, we also managed to somehow got lost in the souks, absorbed the organised chaos that is Jam’el’finna, marvelled at the museums, madrasaas, mosques and homes and were blown away by the natural beauty of the YSL Memorial Garden amongst so many other things that we saw, felt, smelt and tasted….

I am already anticipating our next visit there for more street food, bougainvillea gracing every wall, delicious galangal and honey tea by the street side at early hours watching the city go by.

I’ve selected a handful of photographs from our travels to this exciting mysterious and opium-esq city…. Enjoy.
