* Lady of Field & Flowers

Her house was just on the outskirts of the village. She liked it that way. It meant she could hear herself think, dream, love and long for things. She worked in the field and came home very late in the day. Clothes damp from a long day under the hot sun. She would find refuge in the flowers in her garden. Cool blooms, she’d pluck and nestle in her hair before dusk. Those were the moments that prepared her for the next day.
